[LAITINENP] VOLVO 262 C from Finland

Hello there,

I am terribly sorry I can't speak or write any french yet (can only read some). I'm Volvo enthusiast and hobby mechanics from Finland, currently owning 262C with B28E engine under the hood. I am trying to repair the car completely. Last job I did was to adjust the valves. I also made new wiring harness in to the engine bay since the original one was about to die any time.... The gearbox is flooding some oil from the back, maybe the speedometer wire is not properly connected or some gasket has come to an end. The cruise control is not working. However I do have (almost) two complete sets of parts and trying to find a working combination. I do have an electronic antenna but have not yet been able find the installation kit, especially the octagonal nut outside is missing.

Welcome here, and nice 262C.
The B28E has no direct equivalent in French production except under the hood of the not so common 604 GTI but that shouldn't be a major problem if you need help.

I see that your Volvo is the same engine that delorean, the famous k-jetronic.

Thanks for everyone for the nice words. Yes, this is the same DeLorean engine, the "Française de Mécanique" engine equipped with Bosch K-Jetronic. I had to renew the engine bay wiring harness since the original was about to die in every moment. The transmission is the 3-speed automatic, namely Borg Warner 55.

The Delorean has the B28F with -20hp so K-Jet parts are not all the same. Before buying Delorean parts you better look closely at camshafts and pistons too.
