For years, PRV Concept had three addresses: a site, a forum and a shop, each with its own look and its own habits. This week, the forum and the shop took on the face of the site, and a single account now opens all three. A guided tour, on video, through the eyes of a member.

Until now, the forum wore a theme from another era, and the shop the one it had when it opened in 2013. Going from one to the other meant changing site, menu and sometimes tab.
From now on, the forum and the shop share the site's header, menu, breadcrumb and footer. Forum and Shop are two sections of the menu, right after the Library, and they open in the same tab. On the forum, the sections have their logos back, and times are shown in Paris time for every account.
The forum account now opens the shop. Signed in on the forum, you arrive on the shop already recognised: no second password, no new account to create. It works the other way round too: signing in to the shop with a linked account opens the forum. And signing out, wherever it starts, closes both.
Did you already have a customer account on the shop? If its email address is also the one of your forum account, the shop will ask for its password once: that is the proof that links the two accounts, so that nobody can take over someone else's orders. After that, the forum is enough. Registration itself happens on the forum.
On the site, the forum and the shop, a ribbon reminds you who is signed in: your forum avatar, your username in the colour of your group, as on the forum, and “Log out” right next to it. On the site, a visitor finds the “Log in” link there, which goes through the forum and brings them back to the page they were reading.
For members, the entry to the reserved area follows them in the menu of all three: “Member”, “Active member” or “Board member”, depending on the rights given by their forum groups.
The shop had no “My account” page: there was no way to sign in, find your orders or ask for a new password. That is now done, with a customer area that is easy to read: a menu of tabs, tables at a human size, and a button with its icon for every action.
The forms took on the style of the site's forms, and the checkout page is entirely in French, down to the bank card fields. The shop keeps no card on file: payment goes through PayPal.
Nothing was lost on the way: the forum's topics and posts, the members' accounts, past orders and page addresses are all the same. Only the outfit has changed, and the front door.
A page that looks wrong, a link that leads nowhere, a sign-in that resists? Say so on the forum: that is where the association fixes things.
