Who is responsible

PRV Concept, a French non-profit association (RNA W782000389), represented by its president. Contact for anything related to your data: president@prv-concept.com.

What we collect, and why

Contribution forms: surname, first name, nickname, email address and the submitted content or file. They are sent to the association BY EMAIL (Infomaniak mail server) — this site keeps no database of submissions. Used only to process your contribution and credit you if you agree.
Anti-spam protection: submissions are technically screened (including the IP address) to block robots — Cloudflare Turnstile challenge plus a minimal technical log, purged regularly. Legal basis: legitimate interest in protecting the service.
Journal newsletter: your email address, if you subscribe to receive the new articles — details in the Journal newsletter section below.
Journal counters: view and like counters are anonymous aggregates — no personal data, no profile.
Site assistant: messages sent to the assistant are processed automatically to generate an answer (service hosted in the European Union). No account, no named history, no reuse.
Forum and shop: separate spaces with accounts — they manage their own data (phpBB and WooCommerce), with the same contact as above.

Journal newsletter

You can receive an email for each new article of the Journal by leaving your address in the form provided for this purpose, at the end of each article and on the Journal page.

Data controller: the PRV Concept association, as for the rest of the site — contact: president@prv-concept.com.
Data collected: your email address, the language of the sign-up page (French or English), and the dates of sign-up, confirmation and, where applicable, unsubscription. Nothing else: no name, no IP address. Against robots, a counter limits sign-ups per connection: it is kept under a fingerprint of the IP address, reset every day, and never enters the list.
Purpose: sending you an email for each new article of the Journal, and nothing else. The emails contain no tracking pixel: we do not know who opens them. The link to the article only carries the name of the campaign, the same for every recipient.
Legal basis: your consent (article 6.1.a of the GDPR), given in two steps: the sign-up, then the confirmation through the link received by email.
Retention: until you unsubscribe. An unconfirmed sign-up is deleted within 30 days. After an unsubscription, the address is only kept with the mention “unsubscribed” and its date, so that no email reaches you any more.
Unsubscribing: at any time, through the link in every email or, in one click, with the “Unsubscribe” button of your email client.
No sharing: the list is neither sold, nor rented, nor entrusted to an emailing service. It is stored on the site's server and the emails leave from the association's mailbox, both at Infomaniak Network SA, in Switzerland — a country recognised by the European Commission as offering an adequate level of protection (see the legal notice).

Cookies

This showcase site uses NO cookies and no tracker. Your language preference is stored in your own browser (localStorage) and never sent to us. The forum and the shop, which require accounts, use their own strictly functional session cookies. The forum adds just one more, prv_lang, which remembers the language of its interface (French or English) for one year.

Embedded YouTube videos. Some pages display a video player hosted by YouTube: the Tuners page, a Journal article, and any forum message in which a member has inserted a video. These players use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (the youtube-nocookie.com domain): no advertising or personalisation cookie is set unless playback is started. Displaying the page does, however, open a connection to YouTube's servers (Google), which then receive your IP address, the address of the page and your browser's technical data; if you play the video, that view may be associated with your Google account when you are signed in. This processing is governed by Google's privacy policy, over which the association has no control. To avoid it, do not start playback, or browse with a third-party content blocker.

Embedded Dailymotion videos. Forum messages posted between 2009 and 2013 embedded videos through a Flash player, which no browser has supported since 2020: those players showed an empty rectangle. The surviving videos have been re-linked to Dailymotion's current player. Unlike YouTube, Dailymotion offers no privacy-enhanced domain: displaying the page opens connections to Dailymotion's servers AND to Google advertising servers (doubleclick.net, googlesyndication.com), which receive your IP address and your browser's technical data. We measured it: no cookie is set as long as you do not start playback. This processing is governed by Dailymotion's privacy policy, over which the association has no control. To avoid it, browse with a third-party content blocker.

Retention

Contribution emails are kept for the time needed to process and archive the documentary material; the newsletter list is kept until you unsubscribe (an unconfirmed sign-up within 30 days — see Journal newsletter); the anti-spam technical log is short-lived; counters are anonymous aggregates with no duration issue.

Under the GDPR you may access, rectify or erase your data, and object to a processing operation: write to president@prv-concept.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr).
