From 14 to 16 May 2026, the Association Passion Renault 25 held its annual meeting on the Île d'Oléron. Three days of coast roads, lighthouses and harbours, R25s lined up under the Charente-Maritime sky — and, to keep a record of it all, a film that PRV Concept had the pleasure of editing for the association. The story of a weekend among enthusiasts.
Every year, the Association Passion Renault 25 (APR25) brings its members together around the car they share: the Renault 25, Renault's great 1980s grand tourer, the one that carried the PRV V6 from fuel injection to the V6 Turbo. In 2026, the association chose the Île d'Oléron and took care of everything: the venue, the programme, the outings. All the participants had to do was hit the road.
And the road was very much part of the trip. For the PRV Concept team, it started in Orléans: 418 kilometres to Saint-Denis-d'Oléron, at the northern tip of the island, where the meeting had set up base.

LE FILM DU MEETING — MONTÉ PAR PRV CONCEPT POUR L'APR25 · 3 MIN 56 · @PRVCONCEPT
Among the R25s at the meeting, four had the PRV V6 under the bonnet. First, a Baccara V6 Turbo, the PRV Concept team's own — the very car that drives across the film's maps, modelled in 3D. Alongside it, two V6 Turbos that tell the engine's story: a 182 bhp phase 1, with the 1985 Z7U, the first turbocharged PRV V6 and the first of the even-firing second generation, and a 205 bhp car, with the catalysed Z7U of 1990, 2,458 cc with Fenix 3B injection, an engine that gained power when it was catalysed. As the V6 Turbo was very quickly reserved for the Baccara alone, the plain 205 bhp cars of the first months are among the rarest. A V6 Injection completed the quartet.
Day one was all about arriving. Once over the Oléron bridge, it was north to the tip of the island, at the foot of the black-and-white Chassiron lighthouse, facing the ocean. In the evening, dinner brought everyone together in Saint-Denis-d'Oléron, and the drive back from the restaurant was made at night, headlights on.
THE MEETING PARTICIPANTS · LE CHÂTEAU-D'OLÉRON
On Friday, it was off to the south of the island and Le Château-d'Oléron. Not by the main road: the R25s preferred the seaside roads, all bends and salt marshes. At the end, the citadel and its ramparts, where everyone posed for the group photo. The afternoon carried on in Saint-Trojan-les-Bains, feet in the sand, facing the waves.
AN R25 ON THE QUAYSIDE · ÎLE D'OLÉRON · MAY 2026
On Saturday, back to the coast roads, as far as Boyardville on the east coast. The R25s stayed on the quay, and the group set out to sea by boat to greet Fort Boyard, standing on its sandbank between Oléron and the Île d'Aix. When evening came, one last night drive closed the meeting.
THE R25S OUT AND ABOUT · ÎLE D'OLÉRON · MAY 2026
To keep the memory of those three days, PRV Concept edited the film above for the association, from footage shot on the spot: dashcam, camera glasses, phones and the participants' photos. Each drive is told through a 3D map of the island, drawn from the real terrain, on which a little R25 follows the route of the day. The film ends with everyone's souvenir photos, and with the only message that matters: see you in 2027.
Thank you to the Association Passion Renault 25 for organising this meeting, and to all the participants and their R25s. Do you have an R25, a photo or a memory of the meeting to share? The forum is waiting for you.
