Eleven marques fitted the PRV — and two of them stand apart from the founding trio's orbit: the short-lived Talbot Tagora, with the most powerful 2.7-litre of the family, and the Lancia Thema 6V, the only Italian of the list.
The big Talbot saloon took the 2,664 cc PRV on carburettors — at 166 bhp, the most powerful version of the 2.7-litre ever fitted to a road car, ahead even of the Alpine A310's 150 bhp.
The only Italian among the eleven PRV marques: the Thema 6V used the electronically-injected 2,849 cc ZN3J — the same code as the Peugeot 505 V6.
The ZN3J and its relatives are detailed in the Peugeot codes file.
Beyond Peugeot, Renault and Volvo, the Douvrin V6 found its way into eight other marques — from these two Europeans to the American DeLorean, Eagle and Dodge. The full 26-car table is on the Vehicles page.
The American chapter has its own file: Eagle Premier, Eagle Medallion, Dodge Monaco.
